To make your week even easier, I’ve included 2 FREE printable worksheets used in this plan.

What’s Included This Week?

Day 1 – Rubber Band Fishing

Kids use a stick to pick rubber bands from water and transfer them.

  • Materials: A bowl of water, colorful rubber bands, a stick (or a wooden spoon/chopstick).

  • Skills: Fine motor precision, hand-eye coordination, concentration.

  • Mom Tip: Add a drop of food coloring to the water to make it more “magical” for your toddler!

Day 2 – Cut & Paste Worksheet

Children cut simple shapes and paste them in the correct place.

  • Materials: [Download my free worksheet], child-safe scissors, glue stick.

  • Skills: Scissor skills (bilateral coordination), shape recognition, spatial awareness.

  • Mom Tip: If your child isn’t ready for scissors yet, skip the cutting! Simply pre-cut the shapes for them and let them focus on the pasting and matching—it’s still a fantastic way to build coordination and shape recognition.

Day 3 – Red Light, Green Light

Kids move on “green” and freeze on “red” while listening carefully.

  • Materials: None (just your voice or a red and green piece of paper/cloth).

  • Skills: Gross motor skills, active listening, impulse control (learning to stop on command).

  • Mom Tip: This is a great “burn off energy” activity before nap time or dinner!

Day 4 – Lid Matching Fun

Kids match and screw the correct lids onto jars and bottles.

  • Materials: 5–6 empty jars/containers of different sizes with their matching lids.

  • Skills: Problem-solving, size discrimination, wrist rotation (pre-writing strength).

  • Mom Tip: Use a mix of materials—plastic Tupperware, metal spice tins, and glass jars (with supervision) to provide different sensory textures.

Day 5 – Orange/Banana Peeling

Children peel fruits using their fingers with a little help to start.

  • Materials: One easy-to-peel fruit (tangerines or ripe bananas work best).

  • Skills: Pincer grasp, finger strength, independence (Practical Life skill).

  • Mom Tip: Start a small nick in the peel for them to give them a “starting point” to grab onto.

Day 6 – Spoon Counting Fun

Kids count and place the right number of spoons into each bowl.

  • Materials: 3–5 bowls, a handful of spoons (teaspoons and tablespoons).

  • Skills: One-to-one correspondence (counting each item once), number recognition, sorting.

  • Mom Tip: Write the numbers 1, 2, and 3 on small pieces of paper and place them inside the bowls to help them match the count to the numeral.

Day 7 – Tracing & Colouring

Kids trace outlines and color pictures neatly.

  • Materials: [Download my free worksheet], crayons or chunky markers.

  • Skills: Pre-writing strokes, pencil grip, creativity.

  • Mom Tip: Tape the paper to the table! Toddlers get frustrated when the paper moves while they are trying to trace.
